Yes! Sustainability is one of our main priorities. And so, our domes are equipped with solar energy so you can turn on lights and plug in other devices during your stay.
Note: please use power in moderation as it does take time for the panels to regenerate their energy stores.
Each dome has 2 queen beds so we recommend that no more than four people stay in the dome at a time.
For more space, our cabin has 3 bedrooms equipped with 2 queen beds, and 2 bunks (3 singles and a double) for a total of nine people!
We close for January and February (during the coldest time of the year) to ensure our guests enjoy the domes in their optimal state.
Check-in at Glamping InStead is 4 p.m. the day of arrival, while check-out is 11 a.m.
As a friendly reminder, please ensure you clean up after yourselves before you depart 🙂
While our domes are technically visible from one another, you’ll have to squint! We pride ourselves on the fact that we offer a private experience for our guests, especially in the summer when the leaves are out!
The domes can get a bit toasty in the hottest summer weather, but you can cool off with our fans, open windows for air flow, or take a cold shower!
Closing the drapes during the day can also help keep the sun from heating up the domes.
Plus, you’re only a few minutes from several beaches if you’d like to jump in the water!
No shared washrooms or outhouses here! Each dome is outfitted with its own private washroom, complete with waterless composting toilets, showers and sinks.
We have a two-night minimum for stays in our domes or cabin.
Yes, you can! People often book both domes for a birthday, bacheor/ette party or other special occassion!
Our Bear’s Den dome and Beaver’s Lodge cabin welcome pets for an additional fee. Our Owl’s Nest dome remains pet-free to accommodate folks with allergies.
Your dome is fully furnished with comfy beds, cozy seating, a propane stove, fridge/freezer, indoor washroom, hand/dish towels, dish soap, shampoo/conditioner, BBQ, firewood, board games and everything you need for relaxing.
You need to bring: sheets, pillowcases, blankets, bath towels, food and drinks, clothes for adventuring (and lounging), and any little comforts that help you feel at home. Don’t forget the bug spray and sunscreen!
